Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the responsibility of the Manager of Technology Services will be to manage the client’s Application technology teams and lead Enterprise architecture. The technology platform is built upon SAP and in-house developed Engineering and Operations tools using the Microsoft development toolset.

Position Responsibilities:

This role is accountable for:

  • Management of the applications development team which includes SAP (ABAP, Fiori) and Microsoft development technology toolsets (.net)
  • Management of Enterprise reporting, data analytics and integration tools including performance dashboards and custom interfaces (BW, BI).
  • Management of systems integrations.
  • Understanding emerging IT technologies and in collaboration with the IT Management team determine their impact and timing for adoption.
  • Lead and manage the Technology and Services team including personnel management, goal setting, resource planning and performance management.
  • Define and manage the development roadmap for the Technology Services team to support new and evolving business activities.
  • Define the Enterprise Architecture needed to support the growth and development of the clients IT portfolio.
  • Manage quality control processes to ensure that development activities meet business requirements.
  • Keep current on emerging IT technologies and identify improvement opportunities that could benefit The clients IT environment.
  • Work closely with other members of the IT management team to coordinate work, resolve issues and introduce improvements in IT business processes.
  • Provide sound, innovative, and practicable solutions to an extensive range of problems.
  • Adhere to The clients Change Management and ITPM Methodology.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Information Systems, Business Administration or similar equivalency.
  • Minimum 10 years working in progressive IT Leadership roles and people management.
  • Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution architectural designs.
  • Working knowledge of various application development methodologies including agile, waterfall and iterative.
  • Proven experience overseeing the linkage of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
  • Proven technical abilities and experience in Application Development, Business Analyst and Enterprise Architecture roles.
  • Knowledge of project management best practices and the ability to apply them.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex business requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of integration technologies and their effective use to manage data between multiple systems
  • Proven experience building business relationships and trusted partnerships.
  • Experience facilitating business change through training, process development and data analysis.
  • Proven ability to work under time constraints.
  • Ability to travel, primarily within Canada and the United States.
