Rate: All inclusive hourly rates
Required: Hybrid –combination of On-Site and Remote *

* Must cover SaskPower’s standard business hours in Regina, standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Position

SaskPower is looking for an S/4HANA Cross Functional Solution Architect (Finance & Controlling & Logistics) with strong SAP experience to support SAP practice initiatives, RFP’S responses and to support Business Units on delivering S/4HANA migration projects.

The successful candidate will provide thought leadership and technical expertise in designing ERP system solutions in a highly integrated systems landscape. Help define and lead execution of the SAP S/4HANA Transformation. They will partner with various ERP teams and other SAP stakeholders, develop reference architecture, solutions and governance model that address the continually evolving global business needs. They will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, other IT and external consulting teams to define and govern ERP Solution policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Play an important role with S4HANA program key decisions, planning and execution
• Work with Project Managers and IT leadership to deliver strategic initiatives and products utilizing Agile project management methodologies
• Plan, research, develop, evaluate, and implement processes, policies and procedures utilized for the development of strategies and business initiatives that address the organization’s requirements
• Act as a subject matter expert in a specialized function to develop, implement, coach, and assist management staff in the administration and interpretation of corporate policies; providing advice that is appropriate, practical, and consistent with relevant legislation, regulations, laws and/or industry standards
• Identify new business solutions and operational efficiencies, while providing recommendations which have a significant impact on SaskPower’s business operations and strategies
• Represent the department and prepare and present material to internal and external audiences as required
• Maintain knowledge of industry developments and best practices related to area of specialization and adapt them to SaskPower’s operational environment
• Facilitate collaborative discussions and workshops with the business user, IT and executive communities to ensure alignment and desired business outcomes are achieved. Investigate and evaluate SAP solution landscape, organize and assess necessary task required to successfully address solution gaps and resolve pain-points.
• Experience with SAP FICO integration with other modules: Plant Maintenance, Material Management, Project Systems, Sales & Distribution, extensive use of Notifications, Human Capital Management, SuccessFactors. .
• Knowledge in SAP IS Utilities would be considered as an asset.

Qualifications

• SAP S4 Certification in Finance, Logistics or both
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related equivalent
• Related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s)
• 5+ years of S/4 experience in Brownfield and Greenfield implementations in an S4 environment.
• 15+ years SAP consulting experience, complemented with 5+ ECC end-to-end project implementations.
• Overall expertise in SAP’s ECC & BI solution suite.
• SAP Finance and Logistics Functional experience. Experience in documentation. Experience in implementation and support of SAP systems.
• Two (2) end to end S4 implementations, preferably for utilities (or insurance, telecom) – as a Solution Architect.
• Deep expertise in SAP FI/CO, Logistics and SAP business processes
• Expertise in cross functional integration points within the ECC suite of products
• Experience working in a heavily customized environment with several ECC landscapes
• Strong leadership skills to be able to lead customer engagements at an executive level.
• Previous functional architect and team lead experience on major projects.
• Effective communicator and artful delegator.
• Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
• Strong technical skills
• Strong organizational skills.
• S/4 knowledge and work experience for solution design
• S/4HANA Certification in either Supply Chain or FI/CO
• Team player with the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships both internal and external to SaskPower
• Results oriented thinker, with the ability to manage and provide advice regarding complex and confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalism
• Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork
• Demonstrated skill in SaskPower’s competencies
• Must have a continuing record of professional development
